I am a sonographer (in my late twenties) from Singapore. I first approached GHS in 2009 through a friend’s referral. Joanna, one of GHS’s friendly consultants, provided me with useful information and advice as to what I should do to obtain a job in Australia. I went on to spend 2 years in Singapore to obtain my post-qualifications. I contacted Joanna again in 2011 when I finally decided that it was time to make the move.
Joanna was fully aware of my circumstances and gave advice on the potential options available to me. During the job-hunting process, she had constantly provided reassurance to my concerns and she kept me well-informed. From the many discussions that I had with Joanna, I knew I could trust GHS to find me a job that would suit me best.
After a month, I accepted a job offer as a permanent sonographer in a reputable imaging company in Sydney. GHS did an excellent job in the negotiation of the employment package and visa application. I was all excited and looking forward to the big move.
However, the change of work environment in a new country was initially a challenge for me. I realised this shortly after I started work in March 2012.
Fortunately, Joanna was very supportive. She understood my difficulties and discussed my concerns with my employer. When everything was sorted out later on, she continued to call often to make sure I was coping well.
Thanks to Joanna and staff of GHS, I am now living in Sydney and enjoying a relaxing lifestyle. I love my job and of course, my wonderful colleagues.
