I am a 53 year old medical imaging professional with the opportunity to travel for the first time. I have always dreamed of living in the southern hemisphere but am concerned that I have left things too late. Friends have suggested that I am too old to qualify for a visa to work. Is that true?
It’s never too late! GHS places many allied health professionals in the 50 – 65 year old age group in Australia and New Zealand on a range of working visas. Age is not relevant for a temporary working visa and you could travel to either Australia or New Zealand on a work visa related to a job for several years if you wish, as long as you hold the appropriate registration and experience.
If your preference is to relocate permanently, you could be eligible for an independent skilled visa up to the age of 49 in Australia and 55 in New Zealand, depending on your circumstances. GHS regularly assists applicants over 50 (both single and with families) to make long term moves successfully. Our registered and experienced migration agents can tell you how.
