I was initially contacted by Joanna via my LinkedIn profile in 2015 and then again in 2016 to gauge my interest in working in either Australia or New Zealand. At that time I wasn’t interested in making a move but in early 2017 I contacted her and asked for more information about working in those specific countries. We decided that New Zealand would be the best fit for me and then the ball started to roll. 

We spent, what felt like months, completing an insane load of paperwork to accompany my registration and visa applications. Tricia and Belinda helped and guided me every single step of the way, and I do mean that literally! E-mails were flying back and forth – sometimes every 30 minutes! Belinda, Tricia, Amanda and Lesley were in contact with me almost daily in the last three months before I left my job, hometown and country for beautiful New Zealand.

Before I left I was e-mailed photos of my temporary home for my first 4 weeks to ensure I knew that my arrival was expected and that I would have a safe place to rest when I arrived. They made certain I had travelled safely to New Zealand by calling me the day after my arrival and checked that everything was running smoothly with my move and relocation.

After 9 months of living and working in Wellington as a Breast Screen Mammographer my dog finally arrived in New Zealand and I made sure to contact them and share the good news as by then they had become “family”.

After working and living in Wellington for less than a year I became a resident of New Zealand! It has truly been an experience, with more than one challenge and it was a long road to get here but I could not have worked with a better team to assist me get to where I am today! They know their stuff and really do their best to find what’s good for you and make sure that you are well looked after when arriving in a new country in a new job and in a place that you now have to call “home”.

I have in the past year referred many fellow radiographers/mammographers and they too speak highly of the Global Health Team.

When Patricia and GHS were first mentioned to me by a colleague a few years ago, I would never have imagined that they would become like family to us!

After careful consideration, we decided to immigrate to New Zealand in 2017. After contacting Patricia, I soon had several Skype interviews and a pile of paperwork to complete. Patricia, Belinda and Lesley were there every step of the way. Even faced with the challenge of the time differences between South Africa, Australia and New Zealand they were always available and ready to answer my many questions.

I felt supported and informed throughout the whole process. The team was always professional and caring. Although it was a stressful time, everything went smoothly. My employer was kept informed about our every move and soon I was working at a lovely private practice and enjoying Northland’s beautiful beaches!

A year later we decided to apply for residency, and even though they were under no obligation to help, the amazing GHS team again jumped in to help our family to stay in New Zealand. After a year of countless emails and phone calls, we received the most amazing call from Lesley congratulating us on our residency.

I can truly say that the GHS team were personally invested in the wellbeing of our family, wanting only the best for us! We will be forever thankful.

I will always recommend GHS to all my colleagues and friends!

My journey with Global Health Source started in October 2018 when my family and I made the decision to leave our home country of South Africa to emigrate to Australia. After some research, I found that this would be a real option for me, however I had no idea where to start . Friends and colleagues that were going through the process advised me it would be really stressful and it was with this stress that GHS helped me tremendously.

I was referred to GHS by a work colleague who was busy with the same process. I emailed GHS one evening and had received a reply by the next morning asking for my general information and qualifications in order to assess how best to proceed. From there GHS assisted me in each and every step of the process, from writing my CV to a skills assessment, registration and with the medical board. They were consistently professional and efficient.

Despite having to jump through several hoops in the emigration process, GHS was there to guide and calm me through the difficulties. They were always on top of things and were aware of my stress, often assisting through reassuring phone calls. For this I am so grateful. They were considerate of calling times given the time difference between South Africa and Australia. I often emailed at night asking for advice on an issue and would receive an email or phone call the next morning to hear they had already called the necessary department and sorted it out. I always felt relieved after communicating with them.

In addition, GHS helped me through the visa process with their registered visa agent and helped me to gain sponsorship with a great company in a lovely town in Australia. My family is settling in well and I am enjoying my job. GHS has called to check in on me several times since I moved.

I cannot thank GHS enough for everything they have done for me and my family. We never would have made it to this amazing country without the support of the GHS team, we are forever grateful.

I recommend GHS to everyone I know working in the medical industry and will continue to do so.

In 2017 we made the decision to move to Australia but didn’t know where to start, it seemed impossible at the time. A friend referred me to GHS. I sent an email, not knowing what to expect. However, when Patricia replied promptly, I knew that it might happen for us.

After many emails, a few phone calls and a lot of patience from everyone at GHS I received a job offer in Geelong, Australia. 

Daniella walked me through every step of our visa applications, answered all my questions thoroughly and within a few weeks our visas were granted!

Upon arrival I faced a few hurdles, but Patricia went above and beyond to help me. She is efficient, very reliable and will always have your best interest at heart. I can truly say that I could not have done it without her.

After almost 2 years in Australia and a lot of paperwork and encouragement from Daniella, we are now officially permanent residents. Thanks to Daniella and everyone else at GHS.

I cannot speak highly enough of GHS and all the team members. They provide a professional and caring service and they have been an absolute pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking employment. I am eternally grateful for everything and if I ever need help in the future, they would be the first team I would turn to.

While investigating immigrating from South Africa, a friend recommended contacting GHS who had previously helped them with immigrating to New Zealand. I made contact with the GHS team and my journey to New Zealand started. Belinda and Patricia were open and friendly and guided me every step of the way, from recruitment and visa applications to NZMRTB accreditation.

I was offered a permanent position at a private radiology company in Whangarei and have been working with them for over two years. It has been the best decision of my life.

GHS made the transition to a new country very easy and pleasant, and provided lots of information and references for my further queries. The team still checks in with me on a regular basis. I would recommend GHS to anybody looking for the opportunity to live and work in New Zealand or Australia.

My relationship with GHS started when Joanna approached me through LinkedIn for a potential job offer in Australia, soon followed by a phone call from Patricia Sinclair. At that time, I was comfortably settled in my job and personal life in India with almost no plans to
move abroad.

I had never explored the option of working in Australia although I had FRANZCR. Patricia saw an opportunity to put this talent and education to correct usage. Before her, a few other headhunters had called me from Australia but none of them made enough sense to
me to disturb my current state of homeostasis. However, when I talked to Patricia, the uncertainty which comes with this kind of personal and professional move melted away. From her very professional approach, I knew I was in safe hands and it was worth exploring this option. She not only connected me to Global Diagnostics but also negotiated my terms and conditions.

This was followed by Daniella taking over all the paperwork for AHPRA registration and work visa. I had heard that AHPRA registration may take over 6 months but with Dan’s meticulous handling of my application process, I got an in-principle approval from AHPRA within 2 weeks of submission. There were one or two snags which were sorted immediately with Patricia’s intervention. This was followed by a very quick visa process of less than a month. The entire process of AHPRA and visa was complete in less than 5 months.

Even after I started working, Patricia and Daniella were always available to help me with any queries or information. Patricia made extra efforts to help me settle down in a new country by frequently checking on me and personally coming down to meet me. Working
with Daniella and Patricia has been such a pleasure. They both have a trustworthy and personal nature, and they landed me into a job with an excellent employer. I am thoroughly enjoying Global Diagnostics and the best part is, I never went out looking for this job. I just trusted Patricia and Daniella and they made it happen. I am so utterly grateful to them for their help with my professional and personal growth.

I have been a sonographer since 2015 and it has been my dream to work overseas since I graduated. I have always had a passion for travelling and once I found out that I was able to use my Canadian credentials in New Zealand, it was a no brainer. Through my
research I found Global Health Source and feel very fortunate to have had their help along the way. I’ve worked mainly with Tricia, Belinda and Amanda, but the entire GHS team has been very supportive and informative throughout the entire recruitment
process. GHS provided all the paperwork for my registration, helped out with visa questions and set up all of my work assignments.

I spent a year in New Zealand and worked in three different cities. My first assignment was six months at the Rotorua Hospital, GHS arranged all my interviews and contract paperwork and ensured that I was prepared and supported throughout that process.
Once my contract in Rotorua was finished, GHS set up my next assignment in Kerikeri for a month. After that contract was done, GHS arranged my short term contract in Nelson.

GHS has been great to work with, they always kept me informed of upcoming assignments that could potentially work with my busy, travelling lifestyle and would contact me to check in throughout all my assignments. I would, and have, recommended GHS to friends and anyone considering working in NZ or Australia!

Next week will be our five month ‘Aussie-anniversary’ already and what an experience it has been so far.  Being able to live and work in Australia has been a dream come true for my husband and I.

I am a qualified diagnostic radiographer from South Africa and was put into contact with Global Health Source through a colleague of mine via LinkedIn.

From our first conversation over the phone, Joanna and her team, especially Amanda, were very professional, efficient and always quick to respond to emails if I had any questions or uncertainties.

By the time I first contacted GHS we had already obtained our permanent resident visa and ‘merely’ had the final hurdles of registration and finding a job. Both obstacles proved harder than we anticipated thus, we feel so fortunate that we were put into contact with the ladies at GHS!

When my registration process took much longer than anticipated, Joanna especially, went the extra mile to ensure the process was finalised successfully. They were both also a big emotional support during this time as they kept encouraging me and handling the situation in a very professional manner.

GHS also arranged two interviews during the week that we visited Australia and gave advice on the contractual side of the job once the position was offered, e.g. salary, leave benefits, etc. Both interviews were with employers that fit the criteria I discussed with GHS.

I am very grateful to be happy and productive in my current place of work, something that might have been difficult to achieve without the expertise of GHS.

Once we arrived in Australia, GHS were supportive and kept in frequent contact with us, making the transition period as smooth as possible. They were always on hand with advice, from applying for a tax file number to renting an apartment.

I have already, and will continue to recommend the services of GHS to any health professional that they might be able to assist. They truly played a major part in making our dream of living and working in Australia a reality!
