Jessica's story

I first heard about Global Health Source (GHS) through a former colleague who had a great experience working with them. At the time, my husband and I were completing different courses but simply wanted to explore the possibility of working in New Zealand in the future. From the very beginning, GHS was incredibly helpful, providing guidance on various visa options and pathways we could consider. They stayed in touch until the timing was right for us to move forward, and once we were ready, they presented a few job options. I chose a position in Taupō, and GHS arranged interviews with the employer. After a successful interview process, I was offered a contract. GHS was consistently supportive and proactive in helping to obtain my registration as a Sonographer with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board. Their assistance made a stressful process much more manageable. Living and working in Taupō has been a fantastic experience. The town has a relaxed, small-town feel that suits our lifestyle perfectly. We've settled in well and become part of a lovely local community. The area offers plenty of outdoor activities that we love — hiking, cycling, swimming and paddleboarding on the stunning lake. Plus, being centrally located in the North Island, it's been easy to explore other beautiful parts of the region on weekend trips. My colleagues have been welcoming and supportive, particularly in helping me complete the supervisory hours required for full registration in New Zealand. I'm still in touch with GHS about future opportunities and look forward to where this journey will take me next.
