Immigration New Zealand announced on 11 April 2023 that from 29 May 2023 an additional 32 health roles have been added to the Green List Straight to Residence pathway. There is no longer a need to wait for 24 months if you are on an Accredited Employer Work Visa or until you accumulate enough points for a Skilled Migrant Category Residence application. The additional occupations include (but are not limited to):
- Sonographers
- Radiographers
- Medical Resonance Imaging Technologists
- Nuclear Medicine Technologists
- Medical Radiation Therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Podiatrists
- Clinical Physiologists (sleep, renal, exercise, respiratory, neurology, and cardiac)
- Speech Language Therapists
- Registered Nurses
- Enrolled Nurses
Immigration estimate, 90% of straight to residence applications will be processed within 87 days.
