Our journey to becoming New Zealand residents has been one filled with excitement, uncertainty, and at times, a lot of worry. Moving our family to a new country and going through the residency process was already a huge step, but when a health issue within our family became part of the immigration process, we were extremely concerned about what this could mean for our future in New Zealand. From the beginning, GHS was there to guide and support us through every step of the process. They assisted us through the medical waiver process and made what felt like a very stressful and overwhelming situation much easier to understand and manage. What stood out to us most was the genuine care and reassurance we received. We never felt like just another application or another family going through the system. We felt supported, listened to and guided throughout the entire journey. There were definitely moments when we were scared about what the outcome might mean for our family and our future. I remember worrying so much about our children and whether we would be able to continue building our lives here in New Zealand. Having GHS beside us gave us hope when we really needed it.
