Sam B.'s story

I was in search of an opportunity to work and live in New Zealand as a Canadian sonographer when I stumbled upon Global Health Source. Working abroad in New Zealand had been a long-time dream of mine and the timing was right, so I tentatively sent across an email with some early questions on the process. Right from the beginning communication with GHS was seamless, timely and informative. They described which items were my responsibility, and which were to be completed by GHS on my behalf. The entire process was clearly laid out for me, and some of the more daunting parts, like applying for an accredited work visa, were taken care of by GHS. I was provided with several job opportunities across New Zealand including details of the work and the locations. I set my sights on Taupō, and GHS promptly coordinated two interviews so we could ensure it would be a good fit. Once hired, the employer provided the token for the accredited work visa that GHS prepared on my behalf, and shortly after approval my flight was booked. Life on the North Island suited my interests perfectly: hiking, trail running, time at the lake and exploring nearby communities. I was supported by my colleagues and by GHS throughout my whole six months there and I couldn't be more grateful. Working abroad is something I would absolutely look at doing again, and GHS would be a resource I would happily draw upon.
