New Zealand Managed Isolation Charges

Temporary entry visa class holders coming into New Zealand’s managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ) facilities will have to pay more from the 25th of March. The cost of isolation for one adult will rise from $3100 to $5520, an additional adult will cost $2990 whilst children aged 3 years and above will now cost $1610 each.

The changes will affect those on visitor visas, partners of a New Zealand citizen or resident, student visas, work visas and limited visas.  The good news for those in the health sector is that the changes will not affect critical health care workers nor their families.  The fees for critical healthcare workers remain $3100 for one adult, $950 for an additional adult and $475 for each child aged over 3 years.
