New Zealand Children Visa Updates

There has been another series of rumours doing the rounds regarding rule changes to parents and dependent children visas.

 

There are no changes to visa eligibility for the partners and children of Talent (Accredited Employer) Work Visa and Essential Skills Work Visa holders.

 

Partners and dependent children of the following people are not eligible for the grant of a visa:

• People granted a work visa under the instructions for Foreign Crew of Fishing Vessels
• People granted a work visa under the instructions for Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE)
• People granted a work visa under the instructions for Supplementary Seasonal Employment
• People granted a work visa under the Silver Fern Job Search Instructions
• People granted a work visa under the Skilled Migrant Category Job Search Instructions
• People granted a work visa under a Working Holiday Scheme
• People granted a work visa as a domestic staff member of diplomatic, consular or official staff
